today she is wearing zebra striped undies

Stagecoach (1939): having an overload of westerns lately. my second john wayne movie in the last 23 years and the last week. slightly better than the first because there was some good humor. i wish i could have grown up during this time so that when i watch these, i could truly appreciate the innovation it was. i wanted to badly to feel scared as the stagecoach blazes through the desert at 25 mph and as 30 indians get killed by 3 guns. i can only imagine how suspenseful and action packed a movie like this used to be. i bet people left this movie from the theater in shock at how good it was. but its not like that today and it wasn't that great. i must say however, that the stunts these people pull off are sick. how do they get horses to just collapse like they are getting shot? they probably actually shot the horses then. there were stunts that they would never do today, much less allow the actual actors to perform them. we are much to cautious these days. don't see.

Chariots of Fire (1981): one of the first movies i've seen lately that i had no clue what it was about before seeing it. basically a bunch of brit runners going to the olympics in the pursuit of winning. its very slow at the start, but you do get to see where that music comes from that you always see in commercials or shows where people are running slow-mo. you know, that piano song. anyways, the movie really picks up when they finally get to paris to the olympics. and actually, its pretty sweet seeing an olympics so long ago. as you watch it, you'll want to turn it off and go watch the A team, but it ends very well, so see it.

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948): it was strange seeing bogart as a the villain. he's always the scoundrel type, but you just don't expect him to be the baddy. the movie was interesting i guess. still not sure what the sierra madre is. they never mention it in the movie. am i supposed to be able to translate? let's see, um, the mother mountain. okay, i guess that makes sense. either way, its a "human nature" type of movie. you gotta wonder what you'd do in their situation. what does gold or money really make a person do? ending was kind of sad because no one really wins, except the old guy. there's nothing special about the movie though. don't see. but don't go searching for gold either. in the end, you'll just get your limbs chopped off like bogart.

on the way to school this morning i saw a wonderful bumper sticker that read, "tv is better than family." kinda funny since this dumb state is all about family. our poor little kitty is at the vet now until thursday. he's got some liver and kidney infection and he is so dehydrated that the doc says he probably wouldn't have lived much longer. what, you may ask, was the cause of such an infection? well, he was eating the flowers i got kim for getting her wisdom teeth out. i guess that's what i get for trying to be nice. i wasn't even gonna get those stupid ass flowers for her. flowers are so overrated anyways so i don't think i'll be getting flowers again any time soon. so don't expect any for v-day. by the way, this is gonna cost us hundreds of $$ to them to keep him over night and get him better. meaning, snowboarding might be out.

still waiting for my doc to get back with me to get my other pills. actually, still waiting for me to call him so he can get back with me. but i did take one of them yesterday. felt kinda weird afterward. it could have been because i was so apprehensive about taking it, that i just made myself feel all weird. could have been a placebo for all i know. not sure if it made any effect, but maybe i'll try again another day.

the school paper gave the new bright eyes cd's glowing reviews yesterday and that with all of matt's thoughts on it, i might have to go out and grab em. i'm so far behind with all the new music that comes out, so i might take the plunge and get it sometime. and 18 more days until the oscars!!! woohoo!!! so excited for that. and something big is coming up next week that no one knows about but me (i hope at least). this could be probably the third biggest news of the year for me if all goes well. i'm not getting my hopes up, but its worth a shot. if it goes good then i'll post it here, if it doesn't then nothing gained nothing lost. okay, gotta take a test for stats and listen to this stupid retard girl cry that he is giving us only 5 days to do a take home test. why couldn't she eat flowers and get an infection?
